Montelukast (Singulair)

Selektiver CysLT1-Rezeptor-Antagonist. Blockiert die bronchokonstriktive und proinflammatorische Wirkung von Leukotrienen (LTC4, LTD4, LTE4). Reduziert Eosinophilenzahl und Entzündung in den Atemwegen.

Anwendungsgebiete

• Asthma bronchiale (add-on to ICS)
• Allergic rhinitis (especially seasonal)
• Exercise-induced asthma

Natürliche Alternative

Schwarzkümmelöl (Thymochinon) hemmt Leukotriene ähnlich wie Montelukast – klinisch bei Asthma und Rhinitis belegt. Brennnessel hemmt proinflammatorische Zytokine. Quercetin als Mastzellstabilisator.
