Cāng zhú, also known as black atractylodes rhizome or Rhizoma atractylodes, is used as a Chinese herbal medicine. It is the dried rhizome of Atractylodes lancea (Thunb.) DC., synonyms Atractylodes chinensis (DC.) Koidz, and Atractylodes japonica Koidz.
